“The new feel strikes a balance between traditional and modern Italian, and the menu reflects a combination of old family recipes and refined plates prepared with a lighter touch

Guests can order a la carte at Aria, but they also have the option to “fare un viaggio,” that is, take a trip. The three-course menu includes appetizers, pasta for the table and an entrée for each person—all selected by the chef. I was curious and asked the owner, Massimo Tiberi, if many people choose this. “Lots of people do,” he told us enthusiastically. “They’re looking for the full experience and this is the way people tend to eat in Italy.” - Scene Boston
"This is a 48-seat charmer straight out of Italian date-spot central casting. Think: white tablecloths, vintage-y mirrors, exposed brick and the occasional wood door you’d expect to find on a castle (or an Italian restaurant).
So imagine it: you’ve secured a two-top by the windows overlooking Hanover Street. You’ll settle in with a bottle of red from the 300-plus wine list (note: ask for something from the owner’s personal collection from the ’70s). Then, you’ll move on to 14-ounce milk-fed veal chops and Ravioli con Fungi (handmade oyster mushroom ravioli, truffled mascarpone, grilled escarole).” - Urban Daddy
"At Aria Trattoria in the North End, a plate of juicy, perfectly grilled chicken is presented with a large escarole salad, grilled artichokes, and a great side called Yia Yia’s Potatoes: roasted with smoked paprika and oregano, this family recipe calls for just enough fuss to make it special." - The Boston Globe
"I recently celebrated my birthday at Aria Trattoria. It was a perfect night in everyway. From the moment we entered this restaurant located in the heart of Boston’s North End, the service was second to none. The wait staff here are absolutely the finest! They know the menu and explain one’s choices knowledgeably and pleasantly. Whether they are dealing with a family whose young children ask questions or a couple looking to make the most of an evening in Boston (that would be my party), the wait staff excel." - Trip Advisor
"Great newer little place in the N End with an awesome menu. We went with the chef’s selection so we had a little bit of everything. Massimo the owner was great to us and made us feel like VIP’s. Small place so it is easy to do that here." - Yelp
"By far one of the top 3 restaurants in the north end…right up there with Carmelina’s and Prezza, my two favorites. It’s very challenging to put a new twist on Italian food these days and Aria has executed that perfectly." - Yelp
